St. Petersburg Fast Feathery Chain

Work with the classic St. Petersburg stitch to add dimension and interest to this chain. This is a fun embellished chain that can be worked up in an evening to complement a lampwork focal bead, freeform beaded pendant, or other dramatic necklace or bracelet centerpiece. It's versatile, simple to learn, and best of all, faster than a spiral or crocheted rope!

You'll learn the basic St. Petersburg chain stitch, plus a modification that Sally has used to add dimension and weight to it—as well as options for embellishing the chain and adding your pendant or centerpiece. Most students will probably finish this project in class.

Pre-Requisite:	Seed bead-weaving experience in peyote, right-angle weave or similar stitch is helpful.
