Sue Jackson and Wendy Hubick
Sue Jackson and Wendy Hubick are sisters who have been teaching beading classes together for over 14 years. They've taught at Longleat Castle in the UK, and on three separate occasions were guest artists at Rancho La Puerta in Tacate, Mexico. They were among the first place winners in the 2006 TOHO competition, and won a trip to Japan, where they also taught two classes. In April, 2008, they are returning to Japan to teach at The Bead Art Show in Yokohama.
Teaching has taken these two all over the United States: from Southern California to Vermont, and from Florida to Alaska and many places in between. They specialize in using Japanese cylinder beads and their favorite stitches are peyote, square, N'Debele, and brick. Over the past year and a half, they have been incorporating Swarovski crystals into a lot of their work.
In their spare time over the years in their Illinois homes, they have written many articles for Bead & Button.
