I started off-loom beading in 1997 with the encouragement of ABC Store Manager and Instructor, Linda Myers. Prior to my first class with ABC Celebrity Guest Teacher, Jeannette Cook, I used beads to embellish quilts. But I quickly bored of the slat beadwork and the tedium of adding surface embellishment. So I started using the off-loom stitches to create beadwork with structure. I have been experimenting with structure and embellishment for several years to accomplish my creations in one pass.
