Jo Ellen Vice
Jo Ellen Vice has lived in Anchorage for 24 years with her husband Bret, and has raised two beautiful and talented daughters. The family shares their home with two dogs, and an ever-expanding collection of beads, baubles and beautiful things.
Jo Ellen was first attracted to beading in 1991 when she saw a necklace in a catalog and decided that she could make it better and less expensively. She hasn't put down the beads since and has expanded her skills to include Wire Work and Precious Metal Clay. In February of 2003, she decided to immerse herself further in the world of beads and joined the staff at ABC. After taking a class in Precious Metal Clay offered at ABC by Deb Thomson in the summer of 2005, she found her niche.
Jo Ellen is taking PMC Certification classes to increase her knowledge and exposure in the PMC community. She is now teaching several classes at ABC and says this about teaching, "I believe I expand my knowledge by sharing what I have learned. Every class I teach I learn something new, if not about the subject I'm teaching, then about myself. And this makes me a better teacher to my students."
